Take the M6 motorway North all the way (Junction 44 is the last junction on this motorway) until it joins the M74.
You don't need to exit the M6 as it will carry onto the M74.
Stay on the M74 for around 50 minutes and come off at Junction 13 signposted Edinburgh A702.
The A702 will take you all the way to Edinburgh (approx 1 hour). This is a nice country drive.
As you approach Edinburgh there will be an Esso garage on the right and
a pub called The Steading on your left. At the next set of roundabouts
(two close together, like one) take the exit onto The City of Edinburgh
Bypass toward A1 Berwick Upon Tweed/Edinburgh East & North/Leith. You
are now on the City Bypass.
Turn left to take the A701 sliproad toward City Centre/A703/Peebles.
(the first possible exit on the City Bypass). At the bottom of the slip
road take the first left, and continue on this road for approximately
3.3 miles when you will see the Minto Hotel on your right hand side.
The road which the Minto Hotel is on is a long straight road with many
B&Bs and guest houses, you can't miss it!
